Course Overview
This course is designed for robotic surgeons who have undergone the basic training and wish to enhance basic skills obtained or to focus on a specific procedure. This training includes didactic and laboratory hands-on sessions with the da Vinci system and cadaver models and case observation. The course will be offered to 2 surgeons that have previously completed the da Vinci System Training. Participating surgeons will be trained in the role of console surgeon and learn key concepts on Techniques of TORS. Training certificates will be issued upon completion of the training by Yonsei.
- Yonsei Certification
- Registration : $2,800 per one surgeon
- Each program is designed to accommodate up to 2 surgeons per team
- Fee covers all program instruction, materials and scheduled meals
- Attendees are responsible for their travel, lodging and additional meals
- Agenda subject to change according to procedure schedule / patient availability
Course Objectives
Upon conclusion of the course, participants should be able to:
- Patient preparation and positioning
- FK Retractor application and robot docking
- dissection from base of tongue to supraglottic laryngectomy
- Appropriate patient selection
Target Participants
- Otorhinolaryngologists considering or currently involved in the development of robotics programs
- Otorhinolaryngologists who desire a refresher course after a previous training course
Team
- Two surgeons in each team
- 2 operators cooperate on 1 cadaver for TORS
